Travis on Crazy Jay's "Rocking Radio Show" Episode 127.
(This was recorded before MCSBL died; that's why there's no mention of it on the show.  In case anyone was wondering.)  10/8/2010

Watch for MP3's of "Twisted Tortured Nightmare," "Have Some Self-esteem, You Pig," and "Tool of the Man."  These are the three newest songs which aren't on any albums.  It won't happen any time soon, but keep watching anyway, just in case!

Update on this...I have the MP3's of these songs!  Now all I need is Travis' permission to post them.
Further update, they are available online now! See later news item.

Also, check out "Weird Al's" song "Virus Alert" at about 103 minutes.

If you are a member of the Dr. Demento Society, you may already know that the title track from "Nashville Drive-By" is on the Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes #9!  If you are not a member and would like a CD that has Weird Al and Travis Shredd, as well as many other strange, funny and demented artists on it, then you can become a member by clicking here.  For a list of songs on the CD click here, then scroll to the bottom of the page.  It's the next to last CD listed.

The Boys will be playing, not one, not two, but THREE NEW SONGS!!!

No, the new T-shirts will not be ready.  There have been some complications.  The design is too complex, or something, and the T-shirt guy says they won't work on black!  We haven't decided what to do, yet.

New Show!  Friday, May 4, 2001, at the Rain Dancer.   That's at 4217 University Way NE, in Seattle.  (Don't get this confused with the Rainbow, which is nearby!)  Come out and see the newest Homeboy!  (Go to http://www.travisshredd.com and click the News link for more info about the new guy.)

Read about it.  February 6, 2001, at Graceland.  109 Eastlake Ave. E., Seattle.  You may remember Graceland as the former Offramp.  (It's near the big REI with the climbing rock that's right next to the highway.)  It has a large stage and good food.  And a Tron video game.  Anyone remember those?  Start time: 11:30 p.m.  Opening bands: Fingered and San Pedro's Circus.

The First Shredd Show of the New Millennium was Thursday, January 4, 2001, this time back at the Rainbow. Click here for details.

The Last Shredd Show of the Millennium was Friday, December 8, 2000, once again at The Rain Dancer.  The Good Ol' Homeboys went on at 9:30 p.m.!  Click here for the details.

The winner of the T-Shirt design contest was announced at the October 28th show.  It is The Sainted Good Reverend Doctor Blacky Thanatos Roach!  Congratulations and thank you! October 28, 2000

Great news for all you Australian web fans!  If you are anywhere near Melbourne, you can soon catch us on the air on 94.9 FM, Nu Country!  A copy of Nashville Drive-By is on its way to Tom Tully as you read this!

Some more news will be coming soon, I'm sure. Ok, here's something:  Mr. Shredd is working on some new songs!

The guys played at the Rainbow again.  JULY 8, 2000.  Click here to find out what went on.

Show Scheduled

At last, (or, in the words of the Fearless Leader, "Finally!") the long, dry spell is over!  The waiting and wondering are at an end!  "When is the band going to play again?" you ask.  JUNE 1ST AT THE RAINBOW Bar & Grill.  That's in the U District at 722 N.E. 45th St. in Seattle.

Yes, that's right, that's a Thursday.  So arrange to take Friday off or at least go in late.  If you can't arrange that, then make sure you get lot's of sleep the night before, because you are going to be headbangin' on Thursday night!

The opening band (if there is one) should start around 10 p.m.  The Shredd band should go on around 11 p.m.

I hope to see you all there!

Ok, so this isn't official band news, but...Val, the Jiggy Whippet, F. Ch., the band mascot, who faithfully hung around the studio while NDB was being created, has now earned her Field Champion lure coursing title!

Mr. Shredd will be doing an on-air radio interview with KDGS in Wichita.  So all you Wichita fans, stay tuned!

Dr. Demento comes through again!

On the 22nd of January, Dr. D's traveling road show was in Seattle.  He did an interview on NPR on 1/21/00 and plugged Travis Shredd and the Good Ol' Homeboys!

On the weekend of January 7, 2000, Dr. D played "Nashville Drive-By."  It was the second song in the line up.

First 4 songs for that week:
Happy Boy
- The Beat Farmers
Nashville Drive-By - Travis Shredd
The Spelling Song - Red Peters
The Wrong Song - Scott Katz

On the weekend of February 4, 2000, he did it again!  "Nashville Drive-By" was the second song played!

First 4 songs for that week:
Happy Birthday (Placebo version) - "Weird Al" Yankovic
Nashville Drive-By - Travis Shredd
Eraserhead - Bruce McCulloch
We Love Barney Fife - Guns N' Moses

If you are lucky enough to be in an area where you can get Dr. Demento's show on your radio, or can get a link to a radio station online who webcasts, then tune in in the future to see if he plays it again.

The way Dr. D's show works is that he picks the songs to play.  Then he will play the songs again if listeners request them.  So...if you want to hear Travis Shredd on the Dr. D show again, call, e-mail, snail mail Dr. D and tell him how much you enjoyed hearing your favorite artist on his show!
