Well, I'm not sure what happened. As some of you know, I was having trouble with my flash. I thought it was working, but apparently, it was still having a problem. Most of the pictures had a strip along the right edge that was fine, but the rest of the photo was too dark. Go figure. I think Rev. Blacky can't be photographed. He's like a vampire that doesn't have a reflection or a shadow! The flash did start working correctly toward the end of my roll. So here's a couple of shots. (Click for a larger version.)

207 1st Ave. S., (Pioneer Square) Seattle, WAIt was a warm summer Wednesday night. There was a Mariner's game earlier that evening, and maybe some of the crowd was left over from that event. The band went on at midnight and there was a good sized group of rabid, and some new, fans there to enjoy the show. Even B-Naz came down to enjoy the fun. (Good to see you, B!) At one point, two couples were country swing dancing in front of the stage!A special thanks goes out from the Böys for those who had to get up the next morning to go to work (yours truly included!) and for those who were recovering from recent neck surgery (Blacky!) and yet couldn't resist the opportunity to be among the first to hear songs from the forthcoming fourth album! The Böys unveiled, for the first time anywhere, THREE new songs: "Twisted Tortured Nightmare," "Have Some Self-Esteem, You Pig," and "Tool of the Man." The songs were well received by the fans.Towards the end of the night, things got really interesting when Tea's light-up Peavy logo stopped lighting up! It happened near the end of Quit Yo' Whinin', and Mr. Shredd had to take over Tea's guitar parts. Tea spent the last two songs poking at, beating on, pleading with and disappearing behind his amp trying to fix it, only to run back in time to sing his parts. Standing up there singing, without a guitar in his hands, gesturing with the music/lyrics, he looked almost like, well, a lead singer!!!Rev. Blacky tried an exorcism during "Fire..." but apparently only succeeded in exorcising Tea, not the amp! (The amp is resting quietly in the shop.)The opening bands were Murder of Crows and Jupiter Crash.THE BAND
